What to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon in Hamburg? Do what every other man and his dog does. Go to the beach. The river Elbe is the life of the city, and although I’m sure it never had any natural sand beaches, there’s been quite a lot sand dumped on the north bank of the beahc, just so people like me can lounge around and enjoy the industrial wasteland harbour view.
